id: 10044703

Welcome to my blog, where together we will discover the tastes of Ukraine! Today I will share a recipe for a dish that has already become a gastronomic symbol of my country - borscht with pampushki.

Borscht is not just a soup, it is a real culinary art that is passed down from generation to generation. Each housewife has her own cooking secrets, her own special “zest”.

Fragrant, rich, with a rich color - borscht warms the soul and body, reminiscent of home, childhood, and grandmother’s hands, which lovingly prepared this delicacy.

And what would a Ukrainian meal be without pampushki – fluffy, fragrant buns, smeared with garlic and dill? Dumplings are an ideal accompaniment to borscht; they complement its taste, making it even more refined.

Recipe for borscht with pampushki:

Ingredients for borscht:

* 500 g beef on the bone
* 2 liters of water
* 1 onion
* 1 carrot
* 1 beet
* 2 potatoes
* 1/2 head of cabbage
* 2 tbsp. l. tomato paste
* 2 cloves of garlic
* Salt, pepper, bay leaf to taste
* Parsley and dill

Ingredients for donuts:

* 1 glass of warm milk
* 1 tsp. Sahara
* 1 packet of dry yeast (7 g)
* 1 egg
* 3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
* 3 cups flour
* 2 cloves of garlic
* 1 tbsp. l. chopped dill
* Salt to taste

Preparing borscht:

1. Pour water over the meat, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for 1.5-2 hours.
2. Peel onions, carrots and beets, cut into strips. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes. Shred the cabbage.
3. Add potatoes to the boiling broth and cook for 10 minutes.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan, fry the onion until transparent, add carrots, beets and tomato paste. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
5. Add vegetables to the pan with broth, bring to a boil, cook for 15 minutes. Add cabbage, cook for another 10 minutes.
6. 5 minutes before readiness, add chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
7. Before serving, sprinkle with herbs.

Preparation of donuts:

1. Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk. Leave for 10 minutes for the yeast to activate.
2. Add egg, butter, salt and gradually add flour. Knead soft dough.
3. Cover the dough with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour until it rises.
4. Form small balls from the dough and place them on a greased baking sheet. Leave for another 20 minutes for the donuts to rise.
5. Bake the donuts in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
6. Chop the garlic and mix with dill. Grease hot pampushki with garlic and dill.

Bon appetit! Prepare borscht with donuts and feel the real taste of Ukrainian hospitality! 😉
