I’m Katerina. Most people call me Katie. I talk more easily than I introduce myself.
I used to teach — dance, English, Spanish. Three different ways of saying the same thing: come closer, try, don’t be afraid of looking a little foolish. I liked the shy students best. They always had more going on than they showed.
I’ve been across a lot of Europe and through several countries in Africa. Stamps in a passport are nice. What I remember are kitchens, long roads, and the quiet after a long day. I still want new countries. Not as a checklist. As someone to turn to and say, “Look at that.”
At home I’m simple. Coffee. Old songs. A house that doesn’t need a crowd. I can talk for hours if the other person is actually there — not performing, not rushing, just answering.
If you’ve spent a lot of evenings alone and told yourself you were “fine,” I understand that sentence. I don’t need you loud. I don’t need you busy. I need you honest.
I like men who stayed kind after life got quieter.
