Does age difference matter in a relationship?

As we grow and become more mature, we look for long-term relation in our life. And at first we look for compatibility. We long for someone who can understand us, support us in difficult situations, who can make us feel special and with whom we can be just ourselves without wearing masks. This computability can be found not only with a person your age but also with a person who much older (younger) than you.

What will happen if you have an age difference with your partner? Is it so bad? Sure not, it is just one of the common stereotypes in our society. We grew up with thoughts that having age difference with your future life partner is the way to fault. There were not our thoughts; there were a public opinion, an opinion of a crowd.

Considering to all people’s opinion, you can lose your own… you can lose a chance for happy life with a person that you like only because someone thinks “it is not right”. Why just not let people live their own lives? The answer is simple. People around want to have one more theme to discuss and of course age difference with your partner will become a theme for many talks.

Thinking about this theme “age difference” I always recollect words of Mark Twain “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” Was he not right?)) Age should not be a barrier to strong feelings and creating a family.

Doing a step to commitment, you should clearly understand that relationship without age difference will have some problems as well (even more sometimes). You just should be ready to face with some difficulties. But the main thing in all this is that not to be alone in this fight for your happiness and to have somebody who will always protect your back.

Making an age gap relationship work is not so easy but where did you heard that relation is actually an easy thing?))) Like any other successful relationship — it depends on plenty of factors, as honesty with each other, loyalty, love, strong communication skills and a lot of patience.

But as anyone in love despite an age difference will tell you, love is not only blind, it can't count very well either.
