What were the first movie shows?

Cinema was considered a booth, an attraction, the interest in which would soon subside, as well as to other fair entertainment. The films were short, the session lasted only about 15 minutes, the program most often included comedy plots, so that the audience left in a good mood and would come back again. There was no rush to build separate premises for cinemas. When the first pavilions for movie viewing began to appear, they were often called "live photography" or "electrotheatre". Of course, separate huge cinemas appeared rather quickly - in America, for example, a hall for 400 people was opened. But most of the really big cinemas were springing up around the world by the 1910s.
Some considered cinema harmful - due to the fact that there was darkness in the hall, cinema was considered a space for dark deeds (and, frankly, not unreasonably). There were even fierce debates over whether it is possible to watch a movie for children, how it affects the psyche, physiology, and how useful it is at all (in much the same way as they are now arguing about the Internet, social networks, smartphones and other gadgets).
However, there were many spectators in the cinema. Moving pictures that made a splash turned out to be a lucrative business. The costs are minimal, you can show the same films until the film is worn out, for this cinema was transported from city to city many times. However, the number of such entrepreneurs grew rapidly and with it the competition. Gradually, the number of films that were released increased and increased, the audience craved for new shows. Showing the same film in different places has ceased to be profitable. It was then that the ideas of stationary cinemas and film distribution offices appeared. Now the owners of cinematographs did not buy the film for personal use, but rented it for several days in special companies that owned a large number of films in order to change the repertoire more often and constantly attract viewers. From that moment on, the principle of film screening changed: first, the same movie is shown in different places, and over time, on the contrary, different films are shown in one place. This is how cinemas appeared. What's your favorite movie?
