I used to be extremely patient and loyal to my ex, very persistent, and responsible for personal growth with my lover. Apparently, it doesn't work that way. There is a saying: trust, but verify. I cannot say that I have become cautious now. But I'm sure that love is real when a man says to me: "You are the only one." One study suggests that past relationships have a significant impact on people and thus influence subsequent partner choices. Specifically, it has been hypothesized that the inclusion of a former partner in oneself would be positively correlated with the desired similarity between the first and next likely partner in terms of physical characteristics, personality traits, and interests. It was attended by 27 men and 98 women who were not dating and separated from their ex in the past 6 months. The results confirmed the hypothesis and showed that the inclusion of the ex was significantly associated with the desired similarity between the ex and the next likely partner in terms of physical characteristics, personality traits, and hobbies. In addition, this relationship was still evident after accounting for variables such as time after the breakup, duration of previous relationships, the current frequency of interaction, and gender. These results support the idea that previous relationships can influence subsequent relationships due to the impact of previous relationships on the individual.
