Then I went out into the yard to take out the trash and found a kitten in the trash heap. Terribly ugly, with a broken leg. Either he himself broke when he crawled in the rain and fell. Either someone hit him, who knows. They no longer even meowed, but hissed, opening their mouths. And the wool was matted and wet from the rain, he was like a skeleton. And the eyes were festering, and the ears. Some sick kitten.
She picked it up and took it for herself. Without a second hesitation. I brought it home and put it in the plush bed prepared for the kitten-prince. She gave warm milk and called the veterinarian at home. And then she called the owners of the expensive kitten and asked: can I refuse? They were even delighted, because a rich acquaintance asked them for a gorgeous kitten. Even everything turned out very well. Although the girl would still buy an expensive kitten if no one wanted to buy it. And there would be two cats. And she would love both, probably.
But she chose. It happened. I wanted one thing, but got another. Completely different. Small, dirty and sick. Which she took in her arms - and fell in love. And she cured. And she saved. And now she has a huge cat with yellow eyes, such a tabby one - the most ordinary one. Most lovely. There is no one better than him. So fate decreed.
