About emptiness.

While you are angry with a person, you are offended, you argue - this is nothing. This happens. Love and friendship can return with renewed vigor. And even a mutual fight is not a hindrance to this, although it is not good to fight. But it happens that a person will say or do something that will simply disappear for us. As Tsvetaeva wrote: like the city we passed. And the lights, and the station building, and the turrets, and the trees, and the platform - everything disappeared from sight. The city is no more. Although it is, of course. It is for us. And a person comes and talks. Continues to communicate. And, perhaps, he longs for reconciliation - he understands that he has committed an abomination, although he does not even admit it to himself. And he asks: "are you still angry?" And we answer with a clear conscience: "No, not at all!" And we really don't get angry - how can you get angry at emptiness. And you look at your shoes or a coat. On lips moving in conversation. To empty eyes. Or you read empty lines of unnecessary words. You answer politely and sluggishly: what are you talking about! Everything is fine. I'm just very busy, I have no time to answer. Indeed, what is your answer to an empty space? Or boots and pewter eyes? Shrug your shoulders and finish the agonizing conversation with a completely stranger. Say goodbye politely. And you will forget - the train goes on. A strange city and a stranger were left behind, simply disappeared. And there is no regret, no pain, no resentment - emptiness. You cannot cross the last line in words and deeds - this is how the psyche works. If something becomes intolerable, it stops acting and influencing us. So the quarrel is not the worst thing. You can make up. It's scary when the reaction disappears. And the words sound: “Well, what are you! I am not in the least offended. I'm just very busy "...
