St. Nicholas Day in Ukraine is celebrated annually on December 19. This day is dedicated to the memory of one of the most revered saints - Nicholas the Wonderworker. Nicholas the Wonderworker became famous for many good deeds and miracles. Nicholas did many good deeds for the poor townspeople, remaining unnoticed and confusing the whole city. He quietly brought toys and warm clothes for children, medicines for the sick into their homes. Since then, every December, Saint Nicholas comes to earth and brings gifts to children.
One of the main traditions of the holiday in Ukraine is gifts and sweets that Saint Nicholas brings to children on the day of his memory. In the morning they find some goodies under the pillow.
The main thing is to remember that on the Day of Nicholas the Wonderworker you need to be in good health and good mood, in no case should you swear, but only rejoice and thank the saint for what is happening in your life.
