It was many years ago. There was a heavy snowstorm outside. And, as unfortunately, and maybe fortunately, they cut off the electricity on New Year's Eve.
It was pitch darkness ... and everywhere the grasping hands of friends! We celebrated the New Year by candlelight.
And most importantly, they did not get confused ... We called other friends who were celebrating the New Year a block away from us, who, to their surprise, had everything in order with electricity.
To our delight, the landline telephone worked.
Friends on the wire - the TV was turned on at full volume so that we would hear Bell on New Year's Eve.
It was very fun and unforgettable. The fun continued already on the street near the Christmas tree! Many years have passed since then ...
And the impressions remained for a lifetime!
