Traditions that will make the new year special
id: 10044020

How mom sews a dress for a matinee, how grandmother bakes pies, how dad brings a Christmas tree from the forest along with the magical smell of fresh pine needles. We are looking forward to this holiday, which brings with it pictures from the past. Now we are adults, we continue the old traditions, and create new ones, and we ourselves fill this period with miracles.

Give gifts
A familiar feeling when you give a gift to someone, but is it good for you? Everything related to the choice of gifts - shopping, packing, presenting - one of the surest ways to recharge in the New Year's mood. Wandering around the shops in search of the right things, it is difficult not to feel the festive atmosphere among the decorated showcases and counters.

Don't limit your list of recipients to just your loved ones. Please your colleagues, friends, your coach, administrators in the beauty salon, where you will go to update your haircut before the New Year. We are talking about small presentations: a basket of tangerines, a box of gingerbread, a chocolate bunny, fortune cookies, a package of coffee, a Christmas tree decoration. Do it for yourself - share your mood and it will return in double volume.

Open Advent Calendar
Giving, buying and making advent calendars with your own hands is a European tradition that has successfully taken root in our country. Many brands release their calendars with cosmetics, sweets, candles, coffee and tea, offering to brighten up the expectation of the holiday not only for children, but also for adults. The point is to open one calendar window every day, thereby counting down the days until the cherished date. But in fact, this time frame is conditional: you can open the entire calendar a week before Christmas or New Year, or even after.

Send postcards to family and friends
We suggest that you go to the post office before the New Year and send real paper cards to your parents, relatives, friends, even if they live in a neighboring house. We are sure that a New Year's card in the mailbox will delight and nostalgia the recipient, and you will feel a little happier.

Get rid of excess
A good New Year's tradition is to do general cleaning and carry out a large audit of cabinets and drawers. And this is very symbolic, because everyone wants to enter the new year without the burden of unnecessary things and thoughts. By clearing the space, we thereby make room for new and good things in our life. Even if your home is always sparkling with cleanliness, there are always a couple of unnecessary things that it's time to part with.

Decorate the Christmas tree and decorate the house
The most obvious New Year's ritual, but you can't do without it. Perhaps every year you have doubts about whether to decorate the tree and generally decorate the house. But it is this process familiar from childhood that helps to feel the approach of the holiday and to feel the joy of the moment. The New Year begins when the smell of pine needles appears in the house and a garland lights up on the tree.

Write a wish list
As 30 years ago, and now, children write letters to Santa Claus and ask for a gift. And this is not a tradition that even adults should break. Write a letter in which feel free to list everything you would like to receive this year. Do not limit yourself in desires, the list can be long. The letter can not be sent, but put aside somewhere in a secluded place. After all, the first step towards the fulfillment of desires has already been taken - they are formulated and recorded in writing.

Create new traditions
There are never too many good traditions. Here are some ideas to start new annual rituals:

To be photographed every year with the whole family against the background of the Christmas tree
Go to a skating-rink
Drink hot mulled wine and spiced tea at the city fair
Print the coolest photos of the year and paste into albums.
Bake gingerbread or cookies
Making garlands of orange slices
Buy one exclusive Christmas tree toy every year
Give gifts to pets
January 1st hang up a new calendar
Buy fun new pajamas and socks
Watch the old "blue lights" on New Year's Eve.

Meeting January 1st is correct
Spend January 1st the way you would like to spend the whole year. All things are behind, the holidays are ahead - do what you really want. On the first day of the new year, go to nature, take a walk in the beautiful city, or devote a day to personal care, for example, arrange a spa evening at home.

Share the joy
Feel yourself involved in the New Year's atmosphere, even if it seems that there is no mood at all and things are not letting go. New Year is a common holiday, it is for everyone. Take pictures of shop windows, make wishes under each tree, watch your favorite movies, cook your favorite New Year's dishes, allow yourself childish joy, and let this New Year become special for you.
