The heroine of the melodrama "Exchange Vacation" Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) lives in a charming cottage in the English countryside. She is in love with a man who loves another. Far away in Southern California lives Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz), the owner of a thriving advertising agency. She suddenly discovers that a loved one is cheating on her. Two completely unfamiliar women living at a distance of 10 thousand kilometers from each other find themselves in a similar situation.
