Saint sophie cathedral

When I was planning to visit Istanbul, I immediately set myself several goals, to visit - Dolmabahce Palace, and of course Hagia Sophia.
You can pay attention to the history of this temple, at first there was a pagan altar. Nearby, this temple of Hagia Sophia was erected, as the shrine of Constantinople, and of the entire Christian world as a whole.
The massiveness of the columns of the temple immediately attracted attention. As I understand it, they were erected to control the entire mass of the building. Seeing the whole building as a whole, you feel the grandeur of ancient architecture, which is transmitted to those who visit.
Inside the cathedral, you can move around the room without ever entering the holy of holies. Here, just like inside, everything is beautiful that you never cease to be amazed at the idea of the architect and the hands of the builders.
You can walk around the temple for a long time without wanting to leave it. You can go up to the second floor and contemplate from above. Previously, Christians prayed here, then Muslims. Now the Temple of Hagia Sophia is a historical architectural monument, but I think that being in this place, both those and others can turn to God. God is One, that's for sure!
I also recommend you visit this holy place, touch the shrine of many generations.
