Along the cliffs of karadag

The trip to the Crimea in May 2021 was planned mainly as a nature hike.
From Feodosia, our first location, we planned to go first to the Kazantip Nature Preserve, and then to the Karadag.
Already on the spot we decided that one Reserve would be quite enough. We started to choose a route for Karadag.
At the beginning of May there were only two working routes: a 4-5 hour hike and a sea route around Karadag.
The youngest in our little group, having read the reviews (about this: "Only vigorous old men and brisk children gave me strength and did not make me go off the trail",)
said he would not sweat for 5 hours on the rocks and insisted on a walk around the cliffs of Karadag.

From sea walks along Karadag two variants were available: from Feodosiya lasting 4 hours and from Koktebel for hour and a half. We chose Koktebel.
And, I think, was not mistaken. From Feodosiya rather large ships depart.
And if there is a desire to pass through the arch of Golden gate, it is necessary to choose the small vessel, because even the average won't pass there.

We got a "pirate" boat with the jolly Roger.

So, we sailed from Koktebel in good weather, leaving on the left Cape Chameleon (another unfortunate point of visit).
And in front of us there is a wonderful view of the Karadag: the highest point - Svyataya mountain, the nearest ridge Kok-Kaya and Cape Malchin.
Our sailboat comes close to the shore here.
Birds are perched on the rocks: white ones are gulls, and black ones are cormorants.
One of the rocks resembles a frog.
Immediately behind it the Frog's Cove opens up. Those who gave names to the rocks and coves had a very vivid imagination, which I can't say about myself.
Another great place near Koktebel is Mount Klementieva.
Or rather, the view that opens from this mountain.
In fact, this ridge Uzun-Syrt, renamed in honor of the deceased test-pilot.
Uzun-Syrt means "long ridge, back" in Turkic. It looks like a long bending shaft.
Along this rampart we drove to the observation deck with the romantic name "Starfall of Memories".
The view of the Uzun-Syrt Ridge, Karadag, and Barakol hollow with the salt lake Barakol is simply delightful.
