1. Use the pronoun "I"

When talking about your feelings, it is better to use the pronoun "I" because it connects your emotions to you and does not make the person feel guilty about your feelings. If you say, "You make me feel ...," the blame will be shifted to the person you are talking to. Re-formulate the thought: "I feel ..."


2. Have conversations about your feelings

Talking to someone about your feelings can be scary. If you decide to talk to someone about how you feel, start by saying nice things about the person you're talking to and your relationship with them. Then move on to saying things with "I" and be honest


3. Express your thoughts directly and clearly

It is very important to communicate with others to be able to express your feelings. Choose people close to you with whom you can share your feelings. When talking, try to use "emotion vocabulary" words and phrases that begin with "I." If you are talking about how you felt in a certain situation, describe the situation and your feelings clearly. Those close to you will listen to you and understand your feelings

4. Listen carefully to the person when they are talking to you

Mutual interest is important in communication, so you should be able to listen when someone is talking to you. When someone tells you something, give that person your full attention (put aside all devices!), nod your head
