In the very middle of winter, on February 14, when we are all tired of the winter cold, Valentine's Day is celebrated.Everyone associates this holiday with a real spring mood, and it is possible that this is due to the approach of the long-awaited warm spring.
We celebrate Valentine's Day in Ukraine not so long ago, it came from the West several decades ago. America and Europe celebrate Valentine's Day much longer.
Today, on this day, lovers give each other small gifts: postcards, toys, boxes of chocolates, balloons. All of them are made in the form of a heart, because it is it that symbolizes love.
We have different attitudes towards the celebration of this holiday, especially for the older generation, it is considered a stranger, who came from Western countries. But I personally like this day very much. School is always fun and interesting on Valentine's Day. It seems to me that this holiday is more youthful, so to speak. On this day, you can once again remind a person how much you love him. After all, it can be a mother, and a sister, and a father, and a grandmother. Well, to tell your girlfriend about your feeling ... why is it bad? And it does not matter where this holiday came to us from: from the west, or from the east, it is just kind and good.
The main symbol of the holiday is "valentine". This is a different size postcard made in the shape of a small heart. You can even put it in the mailbox if you are embarrassed to give it in person. I myself really like to receive these signs of attention, it’s only a pity that many of them are without a signature. After this day, many of my friends walk around in a thoughtful state, who sent them such a “valentine”? Do not be upset, it is possible that this is not a manifestation of great love, but simply sympathy. But still very interesting, who could like me? Of course, when we grow up, we all will find our true love, but such that for life, like my parents, for example. In the meantime, we have time to simply celebrate such holidays and wait for our postcards.
