When a person does good deeds, his soul becomes light. To help an old lady cross the road, to tell a stranger where to find what he is looking for, or just to give a smile to a passing person – this is kindness. In every person there is a desire to do good deeds. Therefore, every good deed done by one person can inspire many to do good deeds. One such example is an international holiday.
The Day of Good Deeds is traditionally celebrated annually on March 15.
The International Festival of Kindness dates back to 2007 in Israel. 7,000 people took part in this event for the first time. They decided to put into practice the idea that everyone can do good deeds. It can be a small daily help to others or global social projects that help children, pensioners and people in need. This tradition has not left the population of other countries indifferent. Every year more and more people from different parts of the world take part in this action.
It is not necessary to wait for thematic dates to show kindness, empathy, compassion. Do good deeds every day, and the world will become kinder.
