For us, Easter is the main holiday of the year.🙏
Its traditions are passed down from generation to generation, and many of them are carried out in our time.
We are waiting for this day with bated breath. After all, it is considered a symbol of new life and rebirth.
Like most holidays, this is a reason for joy when all friends and relatives come together to once again honor the memory of all relatives who are not with us, but they are always in our hearts.❤️
It is customary for us to go to church, illuminate food, and then sit down at the festive table, and start the meal with Easter cake and painted eggs.
It is impossible to imagine Ukrainian Easter without Easter eggs, unique ornaments and various colors that fascinate the eye. Almost all peoples of the world revered the egg for a long time and became a symbol of life and birth, since life is embedded in it.
Along with pysanky, our ancestors had stoneflies - folk songs with the invocation of spring🌿 - an indispensable attribute of the Easter holidays. They were performed by children and unmarried girls.
There are also Easter games, they built various towers, rode on a swing, danced in circles and rolled eggs.
A bright and touching Easter custom is “christening”. Greeting each other, you need to kiss three times with the words: “Christ is Risen!”. And to answer the greeting with the phrase: “Truly Risen!”.
Sunday must be met with bright thoughts, not only physically but also spiritually. On this day, you can not quarrel and swear, all insults should be forgiven and forgotten.
