The basis of the celebration of Easter is the gospel story of the Resurrection of the Son of God🙏. According to the Gospel of John, Jesus Christ died on the cross on the 14th day of the Jewish month of Nisan, the day when the Jews traditionally sacrificed lambs on the feast of Pesach (established in memory of the Exodus from Egypt)🤔.

At the same time, the Savior knew that one of His closest disciples - Judas - would betray Him for 30 pieces of silver😔. Christ was crucified on the cross, becoming the Lamb of God, and His disciples buried Him in a cave not far from Mount Calvary, the entrance to which was closed with a large stone🥺. On Sunday, myrrh-bearing women came to the Holy Sepulcher with fragrant oil to perform the ritual of anointing the body of Christ😔. They saw that the entrance to the cave was open, and an angel announced to them about the Resurrection of Jesus🙏.
