Volunteer is a natural person who voluntarily performs socially directed non-profit activities by providing volunteer help.
Volunteer help - works and services performed by volunteers free of charge.
Volunteer work or services provided by individuals on the basis of family, friendship, or neighborly relations are not volunteer activities.
Organizations and institutions that are not for profit may involve volunteers in their activities.
Volunteer activities are based on the principles of legality, humanity, equality, goodwill, free of charge, and non-bankruptcy.

Volunteer's rights and duties are specified in Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On Volunteer Activity. In particular, a volunteer has the right to:

proper conditions for the implementation of volunteer activities, including the receipt of reliable, accurate and complete information about the procedure and conditions of volunteer activities, provision of special protective devices, equipment and equipment.

charging for the time of volunteer activity to the educational and production practice in the case of its passing in the direction that corresponds to the received specialty, at the discretion of the educational institution.

reimbursement of the costs associated with the implementation of volunteer activities in accordance with Article 11 of this Law;

Other rights stipulated by the contract on volunteering activities and the law.
