Thank you for such a beautiful post. I wanted to respond because I have been hurt before trying to find love online. I let my guard down once and I let someone hurt me very badly.

It is a paradox. In order to find love you must be vulnerable, but when you are vulnerable people will hurt and simply not care.

I know you have received a lot of attention for post. You are a good woman who is out there really looking for love. You will find it. As you can see, many foreign men out here are lonely. American men especially, many of us can relate stories about how women told us we were not good enough to talk to them. The American men here are also gullible, naive, and stupid, me chief among them. But as you can see from the responses, they are also generous, giving, loving, and true.

So I guess what I am trying to say is this, most of us are here looking for love. Not all of us. And of those who are willing to open their hearts, be careful. Listen to your instincts, trust your brain as well as your heart. You know when someone is interested in you. They do not make excuses to avoid seeing you. They do not ignore you if you find them outside of this site. They are always seeking you as desperately as you are seeking them. When you are troubled, so are they and they are always trying to help you in anyway they can. They don't ask for things. They give to you. And they give freely. When you are struggling to get love from someone, you are not in love. In fact, you may not even be in like.

Remember that, and perhaps things will be a bit easier.

This is site is okay. But it has its problems like every other site. A site simply cannot guarantee you love. You have to do that. But to do that you have to use your intelligence as well as your heart.
