If our grandmothers had only one task in life and one duty to society - to get married and raise children, then modern women have many choices in life. Women of the 21st century have a democratic attitude to their lifestyle and prefer to master a profession, achieve success in careers, travel and learn about themselves, before starting a family and having children, so that later they will not regret anything.
Today makes new demands on women, and most of them understand that they cannot give up either work or family. All the more so because housewives who deal only with household chores and children have low self-esteem due to the lack of a favorite profession and the opportunity to realize themselves. But even careerists understand over time that focusing only on work and lack of personal happiness is a road to nowhere: if you lose your job, it will turn out that no one needs you anymore. While a woman who has a family, having lost her job, will have much more - the support of her husband and children and the opportunity to stay at home with her family.
But everything has its pros and cons. As the publication "German Wave" writes, "women today want to have everything at once." At least this is evidenced by the results of a new study published in the German women's magazine Brigitte. More than 1,000 women under the age of 30 answered questions about their future plans. 90 percent of respondents plan to have a career and have children. And most importantly, they want to be independent from men and state subsidies. Barbara Vogt, the editor of "Brigitte", says: "This shows that after all, women are not forced to have an active lifestyle, but they themselves choose both work and family."
I recently watched the American film "How She Does It" with Sarah Jessica Parker. The plot of the picture reveals the story of the heroine, who successfully combines a successful career as an employee of an investment company and raising two children in a happy marriage. The film has many difficult and funny moments from the life of the main character, and everyone wonders: "How does she do it?!" And, of course, no one sees when she comes home tired at night, how she does not have time to wash things and quickly looks for clean clothes, how she quarrels with her husband over the children.
However, I really wonder if this happens in real life? Television is full of stories of successful women who successfully balance career and family, and it seems that such a woman is the ideal of today. For example, my friend Natalya got married early. She went to work when her daughter was only 11 months old. And now the woman combines the upbringing of her six-year-old daughter with successful work, being the head of a bank branch. "Actually, it all depends on the type of activity, position and work schedule. If everything is organized and planned correctly, everything can be done in time," Natalya is confident. "In order not to feel guilty, I left the child with my grandmother. And now my daughter is used to mom being busy. But on weekends, I try to compensate her for this attention and spend all possible free time with her," says the woman. So we see that it is possible to manage everything, the main thing is to have enough support from the husband and parents.
PS.
Pros of housewives:
1. The opportunity to do housework and be with your children.
2. Take care of your appearance and health.
3. Go to the theater and the cinema.
4. To meet with friends without fear of being late for work in the morning.
Cons:
1. Due to the excess of free time, boredom sometimes sets in.
2. Housework becomes a duty.
3. A man earns money, and therefore sometimes he is not enough around.
4. Financial dependence.
Advantages of successful activity:
1. You have the opportunity to devote your life to your favorite business.
2. Earn the authority and respect of colleagues.
3. To become financially independent.
4. Expand your horizons.
Cons:
1. Lack of free time.
2. Conflicts in the family.
3. Stress and body fatigue.
4. Male chauvinism and excessive competition.
5. Loss of old friends.
Finding compromises, combining career and family is not an easy task, but it is possible. In life, you should not ignore your professional needs, refuse to develop your talents at work, and also you should not close your heart from the relationship with your loved one and refuse family happiness and children.
