Emblem of the 💙United Nations An international non-governmental organization uniting national associations for the assistance of the United Nations was created on August 2, 1946 in💙 Luxembourg at a conference of representatives of 22 national associations.

💙According to the statute, the goals of WFAUN are to coordinate and promote the activities of national associations and other organizations that support the UN, 💙to strengthen international cooperation and understanding between peoples. The Federation has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council💙 (ECOSOC) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).💙
