Experts from the University of Rochester analyzed more than 170 relationship studies and determined that happy couples share a number of similar psychological traits. According to scientists, in order to maintain a happy relationship, you need to:
- be attentive to the feelings of your soulmate and solve existing problems through conversation and nothing more;
- watch romantic films together and actively discuss their plot among themselves;
- be psychologically flexible - be able to adapt to current events and emotional states of a partner; The last point, according to scientists, is the most important. The results of the analysis showed that psychologically flexible people felt better in both marital and parent-child relationships. At the same time, psychologically inflexible partners felt more unhappy in romantic or sexual relationships.
