What I am looking for.
id: 128329
Since the site only gives you a small space to tell who you are....hopefully this will provide a little more insight.

Every journey first, starts with the thought of taking the journey, then releasing the fear to take the first step on that journey. This is a phrase I keyed a few months ago, but realized that I have been living this way for years. Life is a journey and we first have to dream our dreams, but then if we let the fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of betrayal, or any other fear stop us, we will never let our dreams become reality. I am at a point in my life where I am releasing my fears, learning to love who I am and where I am in life at this very moment. I am searching for whomever understands my spiritual journey because you are on the same path. I hope, even if you do not read any further, and even though I do not know you or have never met you, that your life is filled with joy, wonders, love, light, and happiness.

I think trying to describe yourself is one of the most challenging things to do, but I will try and give you a snapshot.

First and foremost, I am not here for a one night stand or fling. I am here searching for someone very specific. While you are reading this, don't just use your mind, but rather feel the vibration and connection deep within. There will be something that resonates at your core. You will know it when you feel it. I am not looking for Mrs. Perfect.....just perfect for me. You do not complete me but compliment me. Your strengths cover my weaknesses, just as much as my strengths cover yours. You do not want to walk in front of or behind me, but rather beside me along the road of life. You will carry me through times when I am weak, just as I will do the same for you. You like where you are in life, have learned from your past, plan for the future, but totally enjoy the moment you are experiencing. You are not afraid to push the boundaries of your existence or try new things in life. Your beauty starts at your heart and soul, then flows outward from there.

During my travels while in the military, I realized a very important life lesson...you can learn from anyone. From the smallest child, to the oldest elder, you can learn about yourself, your relationship with others, or about this beautiful world/universe. You just have to slow down and really listen/observe what is going on around you. I try everyday to learn and experience something new, to find something to smile about.

For many years I have described myself as two sides of a coin. I try and find balance between my ying and yang side. For my yang side, I love almost anything to do with the outdoors, such as hiking, camping, shooting, and 4x4ing. I enjoy martial arts and have practice numerous styles, and will continue to learn new styles throughout my life. I love the body/mind connection they provide as well as the practical ability to protect those closest to me in any given situation.

For my ying side, I have recently started to practice yoga (I never knew the body could mold itself into those positions.....well at least some people can....not this guy as of yet:) I try and meditate on a daily basis and yoga is very good to help connect you to you. I am a Reiki (energy healer) practitioner as well as a registered massage therapist, which I have already opened my own office, and hope to have my own business covering alternative medicine, dojo, and now teaching yoga someday. I love to cook, and would like to start growing my own herbs to use in different dishes.

A few important points that I will mention. First-I am at a point in my life where the subject of children is important. I have decided the following: If I am with someone who has children and wants more, that's wonderful. I think children are our most precious commodity, but for some reason we are squandering their abilities and their futures. If I do find someone to have children with, I would really like to consider home schooling them....even if I have to be the stay at home dad to do it. If you do not want children, then I am ok with living that life also. So really it comes down to whomever I am with and deciding it together, but I am open to both paths.

Second-I am a deeply spiritual person. I totally believe in God and that there is a plan for each and everyone of us. The issue I have is organized religion. I believe that this universe/God is too vast and enormous to simplify down into a book, and to close your mind to anything new is detrimental to our spiritual growth. I think every religion currently on this world has a small piece of what God really is, but is missing some parts also. I have studied Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and currently reading a Taoism book. I am an energy healer and look at interactions and events totally different and a lot deeper then most people.

A few items still outstanding on my bucket list...which does keep growing everyday.
-Learning to garden (my mom and grandmother could just look at a plant and make it grow (Something must have happened when I was born because plants just seem to lay dormant when I am around)
-Learn to salsa, west-coast swing, tango, country two-step, and ball-room dance (Figured that would give me an opportunity to dance wherever we are at the moment, in any kind of situation)
-Visit every continent in my lifetime (Yes, even Antarctica)
-Kiss in the rain
-Skydive (I will try almost anything once)
-Go to a professional live sporting event for Hockey/Football/Basketball at a minimum....but open for anything live.
-Am open for the person I am with to add anything they want to my list to experience together (What would you add???)

Well, that sums me up, but is only a fraction of who I truly am. While reading this, if you felt that warm fuzzy feeling deep within that you know is your true self telling you that you should reach out and connect, then all you have to do is hit me up or add me as a favorite and I will hit you up. I am an open book. Just ask and I will answer any question posed to me. If you did not feel any connection, but I sound like someone interesting to hang out with, then hit me up also. I am always up for making new friends to find some adventure to follow. We will know when our eyes meet if there is a connection.

And if you read all the way and decided you are not interested, then I hope your journey to find the perfect one for you is filled with happiness and joy. Take care and stay safe always. J
