Myths about low fat foods

🍃An international team of scientists assessed the consumption of milk fat among 4,150 Swedes aged 60 (doctors regularly measured the level of a certain fatty acid in the blood of volunteers).

🍃 The subjects were followed for 16 years to determine the frequency of heart attacks, strokes and other serious circulatory disorders. It turned out that people with high levels of fatty acids (indicative of a high consumption of dairy fats) had the lowest risk of heart disease.

🍃The scientists then compared their results with 18 other studies involving almost 43,000 people from the US, Denmark, and the UK, and data on the benefits and safety of milk fat for the heart were also confirmed.

🍃The researchers focused on Sweden because the consumption of dairy products in this country is one of the highest in the world, which means that in this sample it is easy to trace the effect of these products on the cardiovascular system.

🍃However, scientists have long been saying that a balanced diet can significantly improve the state of the cardiovascular system and prevent many diseases.
