What does it mean to be emotionally alive? ⠀
id: 10052390

Let's be honest: for the vast majority of us, the material matters a lot👛. No, that's not a bad thing. It is the material things that largely determine our comfort, safety and development🛋️.

"Bad" comes when a person in the pursuit of material things forgets what is truly alive🏞️. I mean our emotions and our ability to feel them.

❔ Why does one lose this ability ❔

As a rule, they "turn it off" themselves 📴. Unconsciously, but still by himself. At one moment he is in so much pain that he refuses to tolerate it and chooses the "feel nothing"🤕 function.

Does it make his life less painful ❓ Unconditionally. But is there any life left in his life❔ NO. Man begins to resemble a robotic puppet, which is incapable of creating anything alive🤖. She is neither hurt nor happy. She is neither happy nor unhappy😑.

💬"After a series of very unpleasant events in my life, I forbade myself to feel. I also call it "not taking it personally"💔. Years later, I don't know if I still have a heart, I've become so callous. I understand clearly that it's a defensive reaction of my psyche🧠. I think I want to become sensitive again. But I don't know if I have the strength to live through all my emotions again" - Veronica shares her thoughts

Yes, it's not always happy and pleasant to feel. Sometimes it's painful, scary and hopeless 😟. However, the ability to experience all kinds of emotions is what makes our lives especially valuable. It is what makes us strive for something, miss something, dream💭.

If you think about it, the most important things in our lives are not things at all🙅♀️
