A story from my life. very enlightening

I will start by saying that when I was educated, bribery was poorly developed in the USSR and there was no such thing as "paying for a subject" in my young mind.

In the 3rd year we were supposed to have a very difficult exam, which we had been dreading since the day we entered. The exam was taken by very serious professors. Everyone was just wildly nervous. In October, 7 months before the exam, a classmate suggested that we pay money so that we wouldn't have any problems on the exam. I was very hesitant and worried for a long time, because I was an excellent student. But in the end I decided to give the money to have a safety net in case I panicked.

We handed over the money and there was a 7 month long wait. I studied the subject very diligently, but I was at peace with myself. And when it was time for the exam, it turned out that our classmate had collected the money and just went on holiday to the sea at our expense! And of course she hadn't made any arrangements with anyone from the department we were all so afraid of. So we were just broke and felt terrible. I was shocked that I had to take everything myself and thank God I got an excellent grade. A lot of my classmates were expelled because of this situation.
