American scientists have refuted the myth that feelings live for three years and then fade away. Researchers from the University of California (USA) conducted a series of experiments and were able to prove that romance can exist for many years in the same couple.
It is curious that to prove that you can love one person all your life turned out to be easier than ever.
The researchers just invited hundreds of couples who had lived together for over 20 years. And next to them they put young lovers who had not even been together for a year.
And what do you think? The emotions that people experienced when viewing photos of their soulmate were exactly the same.
In scientific terms, couples with more experience had the same areas of the brain that were active in young people who had just entered into a relationship.
At the same time, “experienced lovers” noted that it is extremely important to demonstrate their trust, support and reliability to a partner.
