Christmas story
Do you believe that animals have the feelings of love as men? I believe, because I had a dog that I loved very much, and he loved me very much too. I had a Scottish Lassie - male, with a long white beard and soft, like Santa Claus, - yes! In his seventh year of life, he became ill and was given some kind of infection testicles. I've decided that I heal and I got injections of penicillin and began to regularly give him the penicillin hoping to help him and that he will be cured. After a few weeks there was not a significant improvement and my niece,- she is studying medecine, told me it was probably cancer and that I will not be able to cure him with penicillin. It was very difficult but I decided that if I want to survive on that I had to castrate him, and I called the vet to do so. The vet examined him and said that it should not castrate him and that it will heal and that he would be better, and gave him a mixture of drug injection. The next day my Lassie felt a lot better and again demonstrated a desire to play with me, and we played like before when he was healthy. Joyously ran and brought the ball I threw him, jumping and acted as if he was not sick - he was again lucky dog. I was also happy, but I knew that cancer can not be cured easily ...
Playing so with him, looked him in the eyes and he looked at me, and as he spoke to me -" this is perhaps our last game, so enjoy it while I'm still here with you " ...
I looked him in the eyes and I felt an immense sadness and longing, and thought it was really one of the last games with him. I invited him to sit down and hugged him with eyes full of tears, like when you hug your nearest. He felt that my love and I hugged him, he breathed deeply, imagine - breathed deeply ... yes... as a human being and thus proved that he also has feelings of love and attention.
After a few days his condition deteriorated and no longer had the will to play, because it is a disease broke down and died.
Now that I write this again I have eyes full of tears, because to me it is very miss my Lassie. It's been a few years since then and now I have a new friend - Boondy.
He husky-malamute, one year old, very smart and pretty dog...
I want to thank all the girls for their interesting and beautiful letters, for the attention that they provide to me, and I send them a warm embrace and warm kisses.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas
