You know, I don’t hide it: I used to think that the stadium is a place exclusively for men. For those who understand the game, for those who live in football, or at least are interested in it. A girl is always good, but is it worth trying to explain the elementary basics of the game to her if she doesn’t need them? Not worth it! After all, you and I are not interested in fashion shows, ballet, dresses and other rubbish ... In general, I thought that girls had no place in football, because understanding it was too far from them. Do not judge strictly, this is my opinion: someone will agree, and someone will not.
But one day something amazing happened that made me think, take a laptop and write this article ...
The story was not so long ago ... An old friend suggested going to football. Friendly game, off-season. We still miss football, and I think “why not?!”. Not that the poster was interesting, but I wanted to plunge into the football atmosphere again, a month later. Kyiv "Obolon" took Mariupol "Illichivets". It so happened that my beloved girl Ira was with me that day. Surprisingly, I did not hear a word against in response to the proposal to go with her and with a friend to football from her. I warned my friend that I would be with her. The stands were practically empty, and the game, surprisingly, was interesting. The Kievans took the lead twice, but at the end of the meeting they lost 2:3, and the fate of the match was decided by a dubious penalty kick in the 82nd minute.
But it's not about that. In the first half, sitting in the stands, they discussed the game of the Brewers. They argued about what scheme Obolon was playing: 4-4-2, or 4-3-3... There was confusion on the field, and it was not so easy to understand something in a friendly match, with an abundance of substitutions. At the same moment, Irisha interrupted us, and, looking attentively at the field, she uttered some unusual, but ingenious words ... “But Illichivets plays 4-2-3-1?”. What about me, that my friend’s face completely twisted, and his eyes became 5 kopecks each! A girl who had never been interested in football in her life, who for the first time in her life heard the name of the Ilyichevets team, analyzing our conversation with a friend, correctly identified the scheme of the game of the guest team, and at the end of the game she insistently asked to bring her to the next match.
All this makes you think about the opinion regarding football and girls. Agree, it’s great that in the eyes of some women football is not just “22 men running after the ball on the grass”, it’s great that there is a desire to watch, think about and understand this sport. In any case, every guy who loves football, whose girlfriend at least somehow understands it, and does not pull back from the TV by the ears when watching a match, can safely be proud of her just as I am proud of mine!
