I have never been a particularly athletic person. Although as a child I was engaged in rhythmic gymnastics, athletics, dancing - everything that is possible, but I never had a particular desire to get involved in anything seriously. So I didn't do any sports.
I preferred art to sports.
Quite a lot of time passed before I myself wanted to actively and interestingly spend time. Of course, my parents approved of my decision to take up dancing. I took my friends with me and went to the dance studio.
At first, we did little, and it looked more than funny. We didn't get the rhythm, confused the movements, sometimes we didn't even understand what the others were doing. But a month or two passed and we began to dance very well.
Unfortunately, due to lack of time, we both stopped practicing, and, to be honest, dancing didn’t really captivate me.
An interesting sport was discovered for me by my mother, who took me with her to a fitness club where yoga classes were held. The lesson was very impressive and pleased me, this training is not only external, but also internal, it requires a lot of dedication. This sport started my love for physical activity. I still attend yoga classes, and in addition to them, I also became interested in strength training.
Now, as they say, “on my own skin” I was convinced that sport is really strength, health and confidence.
I regret that I did not go in for sports since childhood. My parents never forced me to do something that I did not like, and as I said, sports did not fascinate me.
But it's never too late to start trying new things, and there's nothing to be afraid of! Moreover, sport will make you stronger, more resilient and more purposeful.
