Christmas is one of the most important holidays celebrated all over the world. He also has his own traditional recipes.
It is believed that 12 dishes should be present on the Christmas table (according to the number of apostles). As you know, for Christmas Eve dinner (this is the day before Christmas), you need to refrain from meat, fish and dairy products. But the very next day - directly on Christmas itself - fasting ends and the church allows you to eat whatever your heart desires.
Dinner before the holiday and Christmas breakfast are very different in the composition of the dishes: the first is served only lean, and the second - meat and fish.
And today I want to tell you one of the recipes - Apples baked with honey and nuts.
Ingredients:
1. apple - 7 pcs.
2. raisins - 190 g
3. honey - 7 tsp
4. nuts - 14 pcs.
5. cinnamon with sugar - 7 tsp.
6. cognac
Cooking:
1. Prick apples with a fork over the entire surface.
2. Rinse the raisins, sprinkle with cognac and leave for 30 minutes.
3. Remove the core and partially the pulp of the apple, be careful not to pierce the apple through.
4. Put 1 teaspoon of honey inside each apple, raisins and coarsely chopped nuts - 2 nuts in each apple.
5. Top with sugar mixed with cinnamon.
6. Pour water into the bottom of the mold, about 1 cm, put the apples and put in the oven.
7. Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 30 minutes (depending on the variety of apples and your taste).
