There is one mysterious food in my life that I can only eat under strictly defined circumstances. This is fat.
I'm not talking about bacon for breakfast and not about some smoked-boiled brisket. And about that very traditional salted lard - pure white or with meat layers, with garlic or cumin.
To eat fat, I need black bread, red onions and ... FOREST. As a last resort, some kind of kayaking trip or a trip to the country. In nature, I will eat bacon rolling my eyes and sighing happily at how delicious it is. I will eat it a lot, without thinking about any calories and proper nutrition.
If I'm not too lazy, I'll put a couple of pieces on a stick and fry them on a fire - and this will be another level of gastronomic pleasure.
But as soon as the remnants of the fat from the departure return home, they lose all their charm and live out their lives in the freezer. Because at home it does not cause me any emotions at all.
Even now I remembered about the fat only because I was taking apart the freezer and found a few pieces in the leftovers. Now I'm wondering where to put them.
Love lard? Or maybe you have some other product that you eat so rarely, but aptly?
