I am from Ukraine, and today the celebration of Christmas and New Year is a luxury for us.
Due to the constant shelling of our infrastructure, we have constant power outages and sometimes there is not even a normal connection. I know that we are a strong nation, which means we will survive this, but so far the situation is difficult. It's cold at home, and now more than ever we want warmth and love. We will not have a Christmas tree or other usual decorations this year, as there is not enough electricity even just for the needs of the population. And I love to celebrate Christmas.
For me, December is the most pleasant and magical time of the year. I spent time with family and friends, often met with old friends and believed that next year would definitely be better! It was so important for me to keep this warmth inside and faith in a happy future... They tell me that I need to leave Ukraine, but it is so difficult to leave your home and go nowhere. How would you feel if you were told to leave your home? I want the war to end as soon as possible and we can again feel the holiday in the soul. I know that every person with a light in his soul is on our side and supports us in every possible way, this support is so important to us!
