When I was little, my mother and I were preparing for Christmas. We decorated our house while there was a snowstorm outside the window and the wind was roaring.I remember the smell of the Christmas tree to this day.We decorated it with Christmas toys, garlands decorated the windows, making them twinkle with different colored lights. The movie "Home Alone" was playing on the old TV, giving even more Christmas mood.
Then we went to the kitchen to prepare Christmas dishes for my father, who was due to come home from work any minute.I was looking forward to this moment, because he never left me without a gift.
And then, outside the window, I heard a crunch from it under heavy footsteps.I recognized these steps, it was my father. He came home, called me, and I ran out joyfully to him.He took me in his arms, the frosty smell mixed with his cologne has always pleased me.He took out some sweets, gave them to me and said that a little later I would have a Christmas present waiting for me.
I couldn't even imagine what it would be.
As I remember now, my father and mother and I were sitting at the table, eating different goodies and talking about different topics under the noise of the TV.When suddenly my father took out of the package a box in which it was.....There was a video game of Nintendo Entertainment Systems and a couple of cassettes for it.I know you probably expected him to get a doll or something, to be honest, I thought the same. But no, it was a video game, very expensive for us.But despite our poor financial condition, he was able to give me such a luxury. And so my first video game was "The Little Mermaid".I could control one of my favorite characters from the Walt Disney cartoon by myself!!It was a miracle just! Then I played "Super Mario Bros".Later I got Sega Genesis and I played "Sonic the Blue hedgehog" and many other games. That's how the era of video games came to our house. To be honest, I would still play video games now if there was something to play on.
Have you ever had any dear men video games? What were they like? Were they Arcade machines?Maybe Nintendo or Sega?Do you remember how the era of video games came?
