The main and basic rule of "Secret Santa": gifts must be given anonymously. Other subtleties - the cost of gifts, the time of exchange, the number of players - depend on the desire of the participants. Here's how to play Secret Santa with friends, family, or co-workers.

Step 1. Write the names of all participants on pieces of paper. Ask everyone to sign under their name what gift they want to receive. The more specific, the better: so everyone gets what he really needs. However, you can always prefer a surprise.

Step 2. Randomly distribute the names among the participants - put the pieces of paper in a hat and pull out one at a time. If someone comes across his name, he needs to return the piece of paper to the hat and pull out a new one.

Step 3. Set a gift value limit. This is necessary so that the gifts are approximately from the same price category and no one is left offended. Usually they set the amount at least $ 100 - it's not scary if you go a little beyond the limit or, conversely, do not exceed it. You can choose any amount depending on the financial situation of your group. Remember that the main thing is not the price, but the attention to the person you came across and the efforts that you made to find a gift for him.

Step 4. Plan a party during which you will exchange gifts. Ask participants to sign the recipient's name, but not their own. Collect everyone's gifts so that the Secret Santas don't notice who the giver of their gifts is.
