It turns out that some countries do not perceive Valentine's Day as a holiday at all, others prohibit it, someone completely adopted the American style of celebration, and many are used to celebrating it in their own, original, but no less romantic and interesting way.
For example, romantic Italians simply adore Valentine's Day, call it a "sweet" day and will certainly give their loved ones various delicacies, often with love messages in wrappers. Well, this is not at all surprising - it is believed that St. Valentine comes from Italy.
In Germany, on February 14, all psychiatric hospitals are decorated with red ribbons, because there St. Valentine is primarily the patron saint of the mentally ill. True, the Germans decided not to refuse the holiday of lovers, therefore they also do not forget about gifts to their halves on this day.
The Chinese have their own lovers' festival associated with an extremely romantic legend. It is celebrated annually on the seventh day of the seventh month of the Chinese calendar. It is believed that it is on this day that the characters of Chinese mythology in love meet in heaven - a shepherd and a weaver, who will soon be separated again for a whole year by the Milky Way.
This is not the usual and interesting way to celebrate Valentine's Day in different countries, I wish you to meet this holiday in love and harmony🥰
