Hanging Gardens of Babylon in Babylon

According to legend, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were built in Babylon in the 6th century BC. King Nebuchadnezzar II as a gift to his young wife, a Median princess. Yearning in the dusty desert of Babylon for the fresh air and the rustle of the trees of her native land, the new queen was unhappy. To return to his wife the former joy of life, Nebuchadnezzar decided to build magnificent green hills, similar to those that were in Media. All the forces of the ancient kingdom, all the experience of its builders and mathematicians were thrown into the construction of gardens.
Babylon has proved to the whole world that it can create the world's first monument in honor of love. Above the hundred-meter walls of Babylon, so wide that two chariots could pass on them, rose the green hat of the trees of the garden. Now from its upper tier, basking in the shady coolness and listening to the murmur of water jets (the slaves pumped water from the Euphrates day and night), the queen could only observe the green land of her state around.

Love is stronger than death

Marilyn Monroe was adored by many. It is unnecessary to talk about who she was for her time. As a sign of love, numerous fans have been leaving armfuls of flowers on her grave in Los Angeles for half a century now. But only one of them has consistently brought flowers, her favorite red roses, for more than 20 years in a row, without missing a single week.
The famous athlete Joe DiMaggio was the second husband of the actress - not the first and not the last, but, as life has shown, the most devoted and important person for her. And even though Marilyn and Joe did not manage to live in marriage for a year, they kept their love until the end of their days. In the last months of her life, Monroe became close again with DiMaggio. They were even going to get married again and had already set a wedding date - August 8, 1962. But, ironically, on August 5, Marilyn passed away. DiMaggio survived Monroe for decades, but over the years his feelings did not fade at all - in his will, he asked to be buried next to Marilyn. He never married again and until his death he loved only her - the one who, week after week, year after year, brought fresh roses to the grave.

Love or Crown

Edward VIII wore the English crown for less than a year, and in 1936 he was forced to abdicate, falling in love with a married American woman who had one divorce behind her. An act unheard of at the time for a member of the royal family outraged his close relatives, who turned their backs on the king. But that didn't stop Edward from enjoying life with his new wife. Together they settled in Windsor Castle, attended social events, and their photos appeared more than once on the pages of magazines and newspapers.

I hope you find your true love❤️
