This romantic holiday is celebrated by couples all over the world. Most associate it with the name of the priest Valentine. During the Roman Empire, he violated the decree of Emperor Claudius II, nicknamed the Cruel, forbidding soldiers to marry, and combined legal marriages of legionnaires with their brides. For which he paid with his life.

In Ukraine and the CIS countries, St. Valentine's Day has been celebrated since the early 90s of the 20th century. To this day, it has firmly become one of the favorite and popular holidays. Those who celebrate this holiday give flowers, sweets, toys, balloons and special cards (often in the shape of a heart) with poems, love confessions or wishes of love - valentines to loved ones and dear people.

Valentine's Day is a Catholic holiday. Do not forget that Christian traditions also have their own Valentine's Day - on July 8, the church celebrates the day of Saints Peter and Fevronia, who lived in love and harmony and died on the same day. Popular belief says: "Whoever gets married on this day will live happily ever after in love."
