In 496, the Pope declared February 14 to be Valentine's Day. There are many legends that tell about the exploits of the one whose name the holiday is named after. Valentine's Day peaked in popularity in the 18th century. Then young people began to give each other beautiful homemade cards in the shape of hearts. The cards were written declarations of love and poems.

Now the romantic holiday is celebrated in many countries. The lovers are looking forward to him to confess their feelings to each other.

There is one parable.
There lived a very beautiful young man in the world, all the girls fell in love with him, he was never alone, he changed beauties every week, but he was not happy. All his friends have long found their halves, got married, had children, but he still could not choose, everything seemed to him that the next girl would be even more beautiful, even more worthy. And once he came to the sage and asked why he did not have love and happiness. The sage answered him: “You love with your eyes. Happiness is not in beauty, not in what you have seen, but in the soul. Love is the soul, it itself, without your consent, unites with another soul, with which a mutual feeling has arisen. And if you hear it, feel it and listen to it, you will be happy. Then you will truly find love.” Some time passed and the young man fell in love with the blind girl. Everyone was laughing behind his back. And once his friends asked him what he found in a blind and ugly girl, because he had such beauties, could he really not have chosen a more worthy bride. To which the young man replied: “I love her, for me she is the most beautiful and best in the world, she has the most beautiful voice and soul, she doesn’t care how handsome I am, she doesn’t see me, but she felt my soul! I am happy and thank fate for this wonderful feeling - LOVE!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Love and be loved!
