We started our weekend by sleeping in a bit longer than usual. It was a nice change of pace from our usual early morning routine. After we got up, we made ourselves a hearty breakfast of pancakes and bacon. We sat down at the table and chatted about our plans for the day. My son was excited to go to the park, so we got ready and headed out.

At the park, we played catch and ran around. My son climbed on the jungle gym and went down the slide countless times. We also had a picnic lunch in the shade. We enjoyed sandwiches, fruit, and cookies. We talked and laughed together, enjoying the beautiful day.

In the afternoon, we decided to do something a little different. We visited a local museum. It was a lot of fun exploring the exhibits and learning new things together. We looked at dinosaur fossils, ancient artifacts, and interactive displays. We also played some educational games, which were a hit with my son.

After the museum, we were both feeling a bit tired, so we headed home. We took a break and watched a movie together. It was a nice way to unwind and relax after a busy day. We made some popcorn and cuddled up on the couch together.

On Sunday, we started our day by making breakfast together. My son wanted to try making waffles, so we found a recipe online and got to work. The waffles turned out great, and we enjoyed them with some fresh berries and whipped cream.

After breakfast, we went to a local farm to pick apples. We spent a couple of hours walking around the orchard, picking apples and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We even stopped for a hayride, which was a lot of fun.

By the time we got back home, we were both exhausted but happy. We spent the rest of the day playing board games, doing puzzles, and just enjoying each other's company. It was a great way to wrap up our weekend together.

As a single mother, spending quality time with my son is incredibly important to me. I want to create lasting memories that we can both look back on with fondness. This weekend was a perfect example of that. We had so much fun together and made some great memories. I'm grateful for these moments, and I look forward to many more happy weekends with my son.
