When you work as a volunteer, you begin to understand this phrase like no other. Doing good and doing good are very different things.
- What's the difference?
In one children's film there was a story where schoolchildren moved their grandmother across the road. Grandmother turned out to be a sorceress, and for the sake of her miracles and gifts, the children took her in different directions, no longer even asking where she should go.
It is often very difficult to resist not doing something good, but here it is necessary to stop in time. Does your good deed need another person, or is he satisfied with everything?
I'll give an example:
When I come to visit someone, they constantly try to give me tea. Even if I don't drink it. Every time they try to pour it for me, and they are offended when I say that I only drink hot water. They convince me that the tea is very good, expensive and of high quality, but this does not make me happy, I just don’t drink it!
As for me, it is best to ask if a person needs your good deeds and accept his refusals if help is not required, but not to expect anything in return. Perhaps I also did good to someone, accidentally, by accident, but now I will not do this.
How are you doing? Are you doing good or doing good? Share it with me, very interesting.
