It is on this Sunday, according to tradition, that it is customary to eat pancakes with various additives for breakfast. For example, with sour cream, jam, condensed milk, etc.
Maslenitsa is a symbol of the arrival of warmth, spring energy, light and new strength. Also on this Sunday, the people had fun and ate heartily before a strict fast (Easter).
In Ukraine, on this day, in addition to pancakes, housewives cooked dumplings with milk filling. For example, with sweet or salty cottage cheese, sour cream. It is also customary to serve donuts, buckwheat pancakes, cheesecakes and porridge to the table.

This year, my family and I will not be able to celebrate Maslenitsa.
