I want to share an example with you. Today I was out shopping and a dog jumped into my car. I was surprised because it looked domestic and well-groomed, but not at all like a mongrel. It had clipped ears like a Staff Terrier. And she was probably kicked out by her owners after they realised she was not a mongrel. It's horrible, these people have no heart.
At a time when people pick up animals from shelters, when a huge number of animal volunteers treat, spay, house and adopt them at their own expense, some irresponsible owners take their pets and throw them away like that... I went to the police, because the dog was big and I didn't know what kind of reaction to expect from it. The police advised me to call a dog trapping service, but they could not help me either... I am furious, hysterical and confused!!! I was helped by complete strangers who started reposting my posts about the dog they found, giving me advice on how to deal with it. And the owners and the authorities who are supposed to control it just refused to do their jobs.
So, I urge you, if possible and willing, to help those who found themselves in a difficult situation, lost their home, their owners, because no one but us will help them.
