All of us joined this site waiting for true love. Do expectations meet reality?

Expectations I had:

1. Meeting the perfect match! We do join dating sites with the expectation of finding our perfect match. It is smart to have a specific set of criteria for what we are looking for in a partner.

2. Online services are easy and convenient! Online dating is often viewed as a more convenient way to meet people compared to traditional methods like going to bars or parties. As I like to stay home, it was great to use a PC for communication.

3. Situation in Ukraine doesn't let foreigners travel a lot. I wanted to find an easy way to find true love abroad.

Reality:

I realize that some people are honest and some can present a better version of themselves. And it is okay. None of us want to show wrinkles on the photo or show all skeletons in the closet. It may take some time! And I like this approach. Personally, I always try to add fresh photos, be frank and genuine.

Competition is high: so many pretty Slavic girls are using dating sites, and the competition for attention can be intense. Now I realize that it is crucial to be a nice, polite, patient, and friendly person. There are more women than men here!

It can be time-consuming: sometimes I just don't have a free hour to go online. But I am doing my best!

Overall, online dating is a great way to meet new people and potentially find a partner, but it's important to have realistic expectations and approach it with a healthy mindset. So I am open to communication and ready to fall in love!
