How do our hobbies affect our character?

But few people know that hobbies can tell a lot about a person, and in particular about his character. Thus, people who like peace, do not disturb the constant rhythm of life and do not tolerate abrupt changes, tend to hobbies such as collecting something or collecting. A person who tends to withdraw and slowly collect calendars, stamps, coins or other items, is often withdrawn and quiet. Such people need their own private, secluded space, which they attempt to create by collecting something that is precious only to them.
Hobbies that involve extreme or action sports are best suited to those people who perceive their life and the people around them through all their senses. Such people find it difficult to have fun, so they try to find something interesting for them through extreme sports. It is those who choose skydiving, rock climbing, roller skating and other sports who try to find the meaning of life in constant movement, reaching new and new peaks.
Fortunately, such people are often a little less enthusiastic in their old age, although their bodies still crave a certain dose of adrenaline. Of course, taking up sports can also be called a kind of hobby. Sport is not just about having fun. Lately, doing sports has become a kind of fashion statement, a way to lose weight and get a good-looking, athletic body. But those who see sport and the gym as a hobby are stressed out and psychologically strong. It often happens that such people have a really heavy character, and only sports activities allow them to recover a little.
People who are keen on creativity often collect works of art or do something themselves that can decorate their home. Hobbies such as gardening, knitting, sewing, embroidery as well as scrapbooking, quilling and embossing are popular in foreign countries. Very often, people who are engaged in such hobbies, a little secretive, about them can say "hovering in the clouds", because they can forget about much if they suddenly decide to do what they love. Psychologists have long maintained that the hobby a person chooses for himself, depends entirely on his character. But most importantly, a hobby allows us to have a little rest, to survive the difficult periods in life and find his destiny. It is often the case that a hobby grows into something much more.
