First of all, I want to emphasize that healthy eating does not mean giving up delicious food. On the contrary, it is an opportunity to cook dishes that are not only tasty, but also healthy for your body. The main ingredients of a healthy diet are fresh vegetables and fruits, proteins, healthy fats and carbohydrates.
If you want to start preparing healthier meals, then first take a look at your diet and try to eliminate unnecessary foods from it, such as fast carbohydrates (sweets, sugar, white bread), fast food, smoked meats, salty foods and fatty foods. Instead, replace them with vegetables, protein, natural fats, and carbohydrates.
Start with simple meals that are easy to prepare, such as salads and omelettes. Add in fresh vegetables, leafy greens, and protein stores like chicken, fish, eggs, or tofu. To make an omelette, you can use egg whites, which contain less fat than yolks.
Also, don't forget about healthy snacks to help satisfy your hunger between meals and keep you from overeating. An example would be Greek yogurt with berries, fruits, or nuts, green smoothies, or vegetables with guacamole.
If you want to cook more complex dishes, then use natural products and experiment.
