An Italian city Genoa. Here is located cemetery Campo Santo. This is an open-air museum - a repository of monumental tombstones. In Genoa lived a poor girlie. From early childhood, this girl wanted nothing. Didn’t want to be married and have kids. May you think so? She has one dream- being buried in this cemetery after death. All her life she worked cleaner at the cemetery, gathering money for tombstone monumental sculpture. Years went by. A girlie, a virgin, died. But the money had gatherin' by the cleaner, was not sufficient. The people of Genoa gathered the rest of the money. Now one of the central Campo Santo sights is a monument of simple cleaner, virgin.
For me, it’s a symbol of the realization of the unrealizable dream.
