Once, during a working day, I was engaged in registering citizens for receiving social benefits. I noticed that one woman comes to me for the second time in one day and each time she asks to register her in a new way, indicating different data.
I asked why she decided to register again and again. And then the most interesting began. The woman began to say that she was from a parallel universe, where she had a different surname and other data. She said that she mixed up the portals and ended up in our universe.
I was overwhelmed by her words and didn't know what to do. After all, I could not accept such an application and register it using incorrect data. I tried to persuade her to leave her real data, but she continued to insist on her story about a parallel universe.
In the end, I had to ask for help from my superiors. We called security and they helped us sort out this strange situation. The woman was taken to specialists for a more detailed check of her condition.
This incident left me with many questions and thoughts. Is it possible that we really live in many parallel universes? Can someone mix up the portals and end up in a different reality? How should I process such an application?
Be that as it may, this curious incident at my work in the city hall left a vivid impression on me and made me think about many things. I think that every day at work can be unique and unexpected and that makes our work even more interesting.
