How to make pancakes step by step

Thin pancakes are very popular in Ukrainian cuisine, but we especially like to make them for Shrove Tuesday. With meat, vegetables, berries, fish and other fillings, the amount of which is limited only by our imagination. Some people have their own unique pancake recipe that has been proven over the years. But it seems to me that it is quite boring to cook according to the same recipe.

INGREDIENTS

130 g of flour
340 ml of milk
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of sunflower oil (and extra for frying)
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 pinch of salt
STEP-BY-STEP RECIPE

STEP 1
Sift the flour. Mix egg, salt, sugar, vegetable oil in a bowl and mix with a whisk until smooth. Add flour and mix well. Now add milk in small portions and mix again.


STEP 2
Grease the pan with a small amount of vegetable oil and, using a ladle, pour the batter onto the pan and distribute it over the entire surface, tilting the pan from side to side.


STEP 3
Cook for 1 minute, then flip to the other side and cook for another 1 minute. Place on a plate and bake other pancakes, periodically greasing the pan with oil.

How to properly cook pancakes
The recipe for making thin pancakes is very simple, but, as in any business, it requires skill and a few little secrets, and we will talk about them. So, before you start making pancakes, remember a few simple tips:
* Be sure to sift the flour. If you are making pancakes with regular wheat flour, I recommend sifting it, this way you will achieve a smoother and more even texture of the pancakes. If you use whole grain flour or coarsely ground flour, then you do not need to sift it;
* mix the liquid dough. It should quickly and evenly spread over the surface of the pan;
* use a minimum of fat. Pancake dough also contains vegetable oil, so when frying in a pan, use very little oil. It is best not to pour oil, but to grease the pan with a cooking brush dipped in oil or a small clean napkin;
* use pans with a non-stick coating. Experienced housewives can handle any pan, but if you are making pancakes for the first time, it is better not to take risks;
* let the dough rest a little. Do not rush to start baking pancakes immediately after preparing the dough. Give it a little rest, let it stand in the bowl for 10 minutes. After that, mix again and you can bake;
* use different types of flour - ordinary wheat, whole grain, buckwheat. So you will get new tastes and new impressions from food.
